چکیده
Klaus Müllen's works cover a broad range of science, ranging from NMR/ESR spectroscopy or electrochemistry to polymer and nanoscience. After the Chemistry diploma in 1969 (early work with Emanuel Vogel/Cologne University), he received his doctorate 1971 at University Basel (working Fabian Gerson) on investigations bridged annulenes. During postdoctoral period ETH Zurich Jean François Michel Oth), also got habilitation 1977. In 1979, started as professor organic chemistry Cologne, 1983 Mainz. 1989, was appointed Director Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research, 1995, awarded an honorary Gutenberg Research College Müllen responsible scientific supervisor 280 Ph.D. students ca. 150 researchers. More than 70 alumni group(s) are now working professors all over world. A tremendous amount results has been presented more 2100 publications. is most highly cited German chemist date, h-index 187. On the chemistry and evolution of the pioneer organism.
The theory of a chemo-autotrophic origin of life in a volcanic Iron-Sulfur World postulates the emergence of a pioneer organism within a flow of volcanic exhalations. The pioneer organism is characterized by a composite structure with an inorganic substructure and an organic superstructure. Within the surfaces of the inorganic substructure, iron, cobalt, nickel, and other transition-metal cente...

The identification of T cell growth factors (TCGF) t (1-3) has brought major progress to the study of T lymphocytes, allowing long-term tissue culture of selected T cells. Such lines can be cloned in vitro and kept functionally active as killer (2, 4-7) or helper cells (7-10), or cells showing antigen-specific proliferation (1 I, 12). The major drawback of the use of long-term culture lines, ho...

In Europe, Jews formed a distinct community within a Gentile environment for a long time. This was to change as the importance of religion within society declined. Jews gained—at least formally—the opportunity to integrate into society at large. However, this did not mean that they lost their purported otherness. Instead of religion, somatic features came to serve as criteria of Jewish differen...

Klaus Kirchgässner was born in Mannheim on December 26, 1931, and died in Konstanz on July 9, 2011. He grew up in the small, lovely town of Waldshut, which is located along the Rhine at the extreme south of the Black Forest. With his friends he spoke with enthusiasm about this city, where he did swimming in the Rhine and in the Aare river and where he completed his high-school education (“Gymna...
